Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church was established in 1879. The church is located in a community that recognizes and reflects the changing years.

Our Mission
The purpose of Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church is to present Christ to all people in what we say and do through our Church and its Ministries; to proclaim what God has done in Jesus Christ for salvation, and to invite others to believe in Jesus Christ through the power of God's spirit and life.
Our Vision
St. John Lutheran Church envisions becoming a dynamic disciple-making community by inviting all into Christ-centered fellowship, empowering and advancing the next generation, and building strong, transformative leaders in partnership with our sister congregations, St. Philip and Outer Drive Faith. Together, we seek to extend God’s love and purpose into our communities and beyond.

St. John will focus on building an open, welcoming environment that reaches out to all people with the love and grace of Christ. Through purposeful engagement and outreach, our church will foster an atmosphere where members and newcomers alike feel embraced and encouraged. By enhancing our worship experience, providing meaningful opportunities for connection, and actively reaching out to our community, we aim to create a culture of invitation, where all can find a place to belong and grow.
Empowering and Advancing the Next Generation
We believe in equipping our youth and young adults with the spiritual and practical tools they need to navigate life faithfully. Through dedicated mentoring, Bible study, and hands-on ministry experiences, we will encourage them to step into their God-given purposes. By actively supporting the next generation’s leadership, creativity, and faith journey, we ensure that they are prepared to carry forward the mission of the church in ways that resonate with today’s world.
Developing Stronger Leaders in Partnership
Recognizing the strength in unity, St. John is committed to collaborating with our sister congregations, St. Philip and Outer Drive Faith. Together, we will identify and cultivate leaders who embody Christ’s example, ready to serve and lead our congregations and communities. Through shared resources, training, and joint ministries, we will foster an environment where our leaders are spiritually equipped and supported, allowing our combined churches to have a greater impact on the community than any could achieve alone.
